India Gate is one of the most famous historical landmarks in NewDelhi, India. Located in the heart of the capital, this magnificent war memorial was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and inaugurated in 1931. It was built in memory of Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the First World War and other conflicts. The monument stands approximately 42 metres tall and is surrounded by beautiful green lawns and wide roads.
India Gate is a popular destination for tourists, families, and local residents. During the evening, the monument looks especially beautiful when it is illuminated with colourful lights. People visit the area to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere, take photographs, and spend time with their loved ones.
